Another BDP Member Suspended

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) president, Ian Khama, has suspended Moselewapula ward chairperson, John Siele, for 60 days pending disciplinary hearing.

Siele is alleged to have assaulted some of the BDP members following an argument during Moselewapula ward congress last month. Moselewapula ward is in Gaborone Bonnington North constituency.

The ward was electing delegates that will be voting at party congress scheduled to take place this Friday. The members are divided between Vice President, Mokweetsi Masisi’s team and Infrastructure and Housing Development Minister, Nonofo Molefhi’s team.
