Another AB engine failure

An Air Botswana flight is back in service after it experienced power failure as it lost altitude to land at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg last Friday, Mmegi has established.

Air Botswana's Commercial Director Joe Motse and Director of Engineering Johnson Selerio have ascribed the incident to "technical problems" that resulted in no serious damage or injuries.

 "The flight was descending into Johannesburg when Engine Number Two experienced power failure due to a fuel control component," Motse said at a press briefing in Gaborone yesterday.
