Analyst explains role of family life in economy

FRANCISTOWN: A Department of Public Service and Management (DPSM) chief, Zibo Kgwarae has said families need to connect in order to boost the economy.

Speaking at the on-going Project Management Forum hosted by Ministry of Local Government for district councils at Tati River Lodge, the DPSM chief management analyst said that to be productive at the workplace, people have to build the economy at family level."Men and women should connect because behind every successful man, there is a woman therefore men should respect their wives," he said.  He stated that when family structures are complete, they create a platform for those that are working to be productive for they will be more focused.

"When families are united, the economy will thrive and this will enhance competitiveness in the workplace and therefore, every person will be able to learn about teamwork at family level," said Kgwarae."Again, it is for men and women to make sure that they raise their children in a complete family structure to avoid situations of having them lack some of the upbringing.  Being raised by both parents will enable them to have the feminine and masculine touch in their upbringing," he said.Kgwarae stated that people need to believe in themselves and to make sure they build their family structures so that they can be more efficient at work.
