AIDS Support Group To Launch Garden

MAHALAPYE: A community based organisation of volunteers working with different sectors and groups within and around the Mahalapye catchment area will on Thursday officially launch the gardening project at the hospital resource centre.

The publicity project of the support group and initiatives of People Living with HIV/AIDS works in partnership with the First National Bank of Botswana (FNBB) Foundation.

According to Allan Tshekedi, coordinator of the group and Assistant Health Officer for counselling at Mahalapye Hospital, the group comprises of both people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and "the membership is open to individuals interested in the fight against the scourge. Currently the membership is estimated at 30".
