AIDs carer queries national response

The Director of Botswana Network on Ethics, Law and AIDS (BONELA), Christine Stegling, has urged the civil society organisations to contribute meaningfully to the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS (UNGASS) country report.

She was addressing a gathering at a one day meeting on  Monday  called by the Botswana Network of AIDS Service  Organisations (BONASO) together with UNAIDS for civil society organisations of people living with HIV to ensure that they fully engage in the review process.

"You have to make a resolution on how you want to be involved," Stegling advised.
Stegling said that in a 2001 meeting when UNGASS was established, there had been no communication between government and the civil society delegation.
