Adopt-a-School initiative can benefit secondary schools - Mmolawa

TSOLAMOSESE: Principal Education Officer Florah Mmolawa says the soon to be launched Adopt-a-School initiative will benefit schools nationwide.

Speaking at the handover of a computer lab at Lesirane Primary School in Tsolamosese on Tuesday, Mmolawa urged the gathering to help secondary schools with ideas on how they can take part in this initiative. She said after seeing this year's appalling Junior Certificate (JC) results she realised that government cannot win the battle of improving on students learning process and academic results alone.

She therefore encouraged companies to come on board and assist schools where they can. Cloudseed Computer Company donated 24 computers with Internet that they installed in the lab. The company is also training both the children and teacher on how to use the computers.
