Accused pleads innocent to housebreaking

FRANCISTOWN: An alleged robber has pleaded ignorance to housebreaking and theft, after telling the court that he thought the house they broke into belonged to his co-accused.

Gofaone Galetshabiwe, 21, of Sekoko ward in Tonota and his co-accused Meshack Matlapa, 18, of Monarch location in Francistown appeared before Chief Magistrate Mokwadi Gabanagae on two counts of housebreaking and theft.

The State represented by Azhani Mokokomane is alleging that between December 24 2007 and January 5 2008, the duo allegedly broke and entered into a house belonging to Boatametse Ganelang and stole goods worth P2480.
