Our Parliament is made up of 57 elected Members of Parliament (MPs) and four Specially Elected members as well as the President.

(1) There is a general public feeling that MPs are in that sacred House to protect the interests of their electorate.

That is not true. Majority of MPs are there to protect their interests and those of their families. There are more than six 'tenderpreneurs' in the House and they do everything in their power to protect their interests. What if, behind the scenes they push for policies that will favour their businesses?
