Zeus wins big at President�s Day finals

Award-winning rapper Game ‘Zeus’ Bantsi was the big winner on Tuesday as he bagged a whopping P50,000 cash prize for Best Video at the President Day finals. The prize giving was held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC).

The best video award at the President’s Day arts competitions is the most lucrative with the next big pay being a P25,000 cash prize going to winners in groups and bands.

On the prize-giving day there were also double winners in the fine arts and basketry, who pocketed P20,000 each.

A promising step for public schools, but...

For too long, the state of many public schools has been a source of shame. We have all seen the pictures and heard the stories of broken windows, unreliable water and electricity, topped by classrooms that are not fit for proper learning. The establishment of the Education Infrastructure and Management Company Ltd (EIMC) signals that authorities are finally ready to take this problem seriously. We must commend the government for this initiative....
