The survey also revealed that The Rush show hosted by Kagiso ‘Fox’ Phatsimo, M.O.G. and Thato Selemogwe on Yarona FM is considered not only the best weekday radio show but also the top breakfast show, keeping audiences engaged in the early hours. Fox dominates both weekday and weekend’s best presenter categories, while RB2’s Sunday Ballads with Osi has won the hearts of many weekend listeners. On the other hand, The Climax with DJ Sway and LB takes the title of best afternoon drivetime show. The survey results celebrate the voices and shows that keep Botswana entertained, informed, and engaged. According to Eugine Batlokwa, PR Consultant at Mogasi Consultancy, Fox, affectionately known as the ‘Hood Goon,’ has an undeniable impact on local radio, which has earned him the crown of Botswana radio’s Most Valuable Presenter (MVP). He further pointed out that Fox’s versatility and connection with audiences make him a standout figure in Botswana’s radio scene. The survey also looked into favourite radio personalities across different time slots, revealing a strong listener attachment to engaging and charismatic hosts. Beyond audience favourites, the BRIS survey explored listener demographics, radio consumption habits, and content preferences.
