Previously known as MonoRac, The Rac whose birth names are Samora Nthobatsang, has released a Mixtape dubbed 23 Hours with 13 tracks today.

Known as Rac by his friends and fans, the Hip Hop artist explained that the tape was inspired by real life events and feelings that most people go through but do not talk about. He said it was an affirmation to every listener that they too could believe in themselves adding that there was inner strength that could be harnessed for one to live their life better. “23 Hours is the inner voice we all have but very few decide not to listen to it and do something about it. The Tape was made in 23 Hours, hence the name. It is a collaborative effort between two studio labels, X808X Entertainment and Blackmail Entertainment who are both based in Gaborone. The project was made in April 2023. The songs were all produced and engineered by HonestBeatz and Obie Trax, composure was done by The Rac, Uth Tha Meek, S.Montyna and JT Specialboy,” he said.

He also explained that he recorded his first song for a mixtape called "Free the streets" which was curated by Unpredictable and Molf (Urban Soul) and produced by Teknoiz in 2023. The Rac added that he has been drifting in and out of the musical spotlight but from 2023 and beyond he would be more visible. He further explained that he wanted to setup his own infrastructure first which he had done as he was the founder of X808X Entertainment Company, a 360 Entertainment company. He pointed out that local distribution channels and business support systems are not where they should be adding that more efforts need to be made so that local music could be given the respect it deserved to be able to thrive and carry sustainability long-term. Speaking of his achievements, he boasted that his catalogue is extensive and speaks for its self. He further said he was coming for the awards next. “The strategy is to start local and then move global. The challenges mentioned are not making it an easy task. More efforts will be put into a larger global footprint in a short foreseeable future. My advice to upcoming artists is plan, stick to the plan, execute, reflect, refine and repeat. Success is inevitable. 23 Hours is available across all steaming services and you can contact the management for collaborations,” he said.
