Legendary Rhumba artist, Frank ‘Franco’ Lesokwane, says the 4th edition of his music show will be bigger and better.
The event will take place on April 5, 2025 at Fora Farm in Kumakwane. Preparations have already commenced for this year’s edition, with the musician promising a generally improved show. The event is meant to celebrate Franco’s musical journey, which spans over two decades. After previously struggling with finding the right venue for the show in Gaborone, Franco has decided that the annual festival will take place at his Fora Farm, in Kumakwane.
He told Showtime that preparations for the event have already started and that flyers starting to be distributed on January 13, 2025 to alert people about the upcoming event. In terms of performances, he said they will also soon announce the artists who will be part of the event. He stated that they need to sign contracts first with the artists who have been invited to perform at the event. He explained that the event is strictly for local artists to empower and grow them.
“And I am not afraid to say that this is the only biggest show that is strictly for local artists,” he said. As for age restrictions, the event is mainly for elderly people because it will be on till late. Franco promised his fans that he would make sure that they enjoy their time and performances. “I want my fans to enjoy this event in a very comfortable and secure environment,” he added.
Franco said advance tickets for the show have started selling at different outlets. So far, the confirmed places to purchase the tickets are at Kumakwane Puma filling station, Bus rank TP Transport, Mogoditshane near Trans, Parking lots and Gabane Choppies. “I want to assure my fans and Batswana that this time we will have an improved show compared to the last event in terms of performance and production,” the Ke lela le lona hitmaker said.
