Police spoil Fete De la Musique

Amid fanfare and all the hype around the Fete De la Musique festival, the event became a disappointment after organisers were forced to cut it short on the orders of the police.

The annual international Fete De La Musique festival hosted by the Alliance Française Gaborone marked its return this past Saturday at Thapong Visual Arts Centre, and attracted an impressive crowd.

Held in collaboration with the No. 1 Ladies Coffee House, the festival promised to give patrons the kind of excitement associated with a show of its stature, but many left the place disappointed when the festival was halted just as things were getting heated.
