NEW QUEEN AND KING: Mr and Miss Beauty with Albanism PICS PHATSIMO KAPENG

The Mr and Miss Beauty With Albinism beauty pageant was held at Botho University on Sunday morning, where the new King and Queen were crowned.

The event is aimed at raising awareness about albinism and celebrating people living with it.

Mareko Sekgopi was crowned the King after impressing the judges with his responses during the question-and-answer session. He explained his project that aims to tackle mental health amongst the youth, drug, and alcohol abuse, and expressed his desire to work with different stakeholders to make Botswana a better place.

A promising step for public schools, but...

For too long, the state of many public schools has been a source of shame. We have all seen the pictures and heard the stories of broken windows, unreliable water and electricity, topped by classrooms that are not fit for proper learning. The establishment of the Education Infrastructure and Management Company Ltd (EIMC) signals that authorities are finally ready to take this problem seriously. We must commend the government for this initiative....
