After years of making a name for herself in the traditional music scene, 26-year-old Kaone Boatametse, also famed as Morweetsana, is ready to take another step in her music career by diversifying her style.

The passionate young woman aspires to be 'the next big thing' in music. Even though she had been more focused on traditional dance and song, the versatile talent intends to break into other music genres so that her work caters to diverse music fanatics.

Morweetsana told Arts & Culture she has enjoyed a stellar career over the years after she burst onto the scene in 2017 with Kuka La Setso as the group's female lead vocalist in two of the 'Keledi Ya Monna' album tracks. “I then decided to stand on my own and follow my passion. I released a double single in March 2021 titled 'Ba A Njela'.
