Meat festival to restore Thamaga�s good image

The inaugural Meat Festival will feature a variety of meat dishes including mokwetjepe, which is very popular amongst Batswana

For a village that has been in the headlines for all sorts of bad things, Thamaga village in Kweneng will host the first ever Meat Festival on May 27 at Thamaga Stadium in order to repair the village’s battered reputation.

Meat lovers from all over will assemble at Thamaga and get a chance to chow down the meat. A juicy lineup of artists lead by Ditiro Leero, Tumza, Jujuvine and Rittah will perform on the day to get people’s taste buds enticed.

While people will be able to arouse their taste buds one of the organisers of the Meat Festival Oteng Basupang said the main reason for the event is to make good deeds in Thamaga.
