Mapetla to be buried on Sunday

Fallen Kwaito star, Thabo ‘Mapetla’ Ntirang, also known as ‘Skhokho,’ will be laid to rest on Sunday in Tonota. Mapetla died in the early hours of Monday following a tragic car accident in Phakalane.

In a statement released by the Ntirang family, mourners are set to leave for Tonota tomorrow to prepare his final resting place. “Tomorrow we will set out for Tonota where we will continue to celebrate his life and legacy before laying him to rest on Sunday,” read the statement. Before setting off to Tonota tomorrow, Mapetla’s family has organised a memorial service where family and friends can pay their respects to the star. “Today we gather for the final day of the memorial in Gaborone Block 3 to honour the life of Mapetla at 5:30pm,” the statement read.

Mapetla’s family showed immense gratitude for how Batswana have been supportive of them in these trying times. “Your presence and kindness during this challenging time have given us strength and comfort. We are truly thankful. Your continued support is invaluable as we navigate this difficult period,” read the statement. Mapetla is well-known to his legion of fans through his breakthrough tracks, 'Ahh' and 'Thaba Tshweu', just to mention but a few. He leaves behind two children, a son and a daughter.
