Makgato-Malesu awards public servants

Talent has proven to be an alternative source of income to the gifted, Minister of Trade and Industry (MIT) Dorcas Makgato-Malesu said at an employee appreciation dinner on Tuesday.

The dinner was hosted to celebrate contributions made by the performing arts employees who participated and represented the ministry in the Public Service Performing Arts Competitions held in June. The team participated in the Choir, Traditional Dance Group, Beauty Pageants and Athletics categories.

Makgato-Malesu said the objective of Performing Arts competitions is to promote the roles, professionalism and visibility of Public Service.  She added that the competitions are there to unearth talent across the public service.
