Selebo told Arts&Culture in an interview that she has been nominated for three categories; Virtual Talk Show, Radio Announcer of the Year and Gospel/ Religious Promoter of the Year. She said she registered for the awards last year in November after seeing an advert on Facebook. “For me it's a very huge achievement in my career. Just to be nominated among the Americans is a great milestone and I am over excited about it. Above all, I give the glory to God Almighty for this opportunity. I really do not know how to express my joy,” she said. With more than 15 years in the industry, the Shoshong-born artist has in the past won an international award.
She is not just a singer but also a promoter and an events organiser. She is also a radio presenter on two online radios in SA such as SAKS Radio in Sharpeville and Mabopane Rise Radio in Pretoria. Despite her success, Selebo said she still faces many challenges such as a lack of enough support from the public and the government.
