Guitarist Katuta takes young musicians under his wing

Tonight Katuta alongside Motswafere will perfom at the No. 1 Ladies Coffee House in Thapong Visual Arts Centre PIC: THALEFANG CHARLES

Legendary Congolese guitarist, Kapenda Katuta who has almost worked with all of Botswana’s celebrated artists is now on a mission to groom generations of musicians who will take Botswana music industry to a higher level.

Tonight Katuta alongside Motswafere will perform at The No.1 Ladies Coffee House in Thapong Visual Arts Centre.

Katuta who not so long ago shared the stage with Oliver Mtukudzi at Mascom Live Sessions told Arts & Culture that he was asked to do the show by the patrons of the place.
