After hosting a successful Gin Experience event last year, The Grand Palm Hotel Casino and Convention Resort is back with the third edition.

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better as the organisers intend to go all out and leave a mark on November 18. In an interview with Mmegi Online, Malebogo Bahakgametse, who is the marketing manager for The Grand Palm Resort, said they have found the niche in the Gin beverage. She said this is turning to be the ‘go to drink’ for most people locally. She said her assertion can be affirmed to because of how the Gin events are becoming so popular in the country.

Bahakgametse also said they have to stand out because of other Gin events by offering patrons plenty of Gins to choose from. “Last year we hosted 300 guests with 16 Gin varieties but this time around we aim to have over 20 Gin houses and to add on the experience, we have partnered with Schweppes to run a mixologist competition during the event,” Bahakgametse said. She said patrons will be able to taste new gins in the market since they have decided to introduce new products every year. “Despite trying out new Gins, patrons will also get to sample some of their favourites. For the new Gins, we will reveal them as we get closer to the event,” she said.

In addition, Bahakgametse stated that there is no event without some unwavering entertainment. She said this time around, entertainment will only come from local talents including DJ Boogie Sid, Shimrock, Lefatshe, D-Low, Chrispin the Drummer and Benny T. Tickets for the event are selling at P350 per person.
