Nigerian actor turned comedian, Francis Odega, failed to pitch up for his first show in Botswana, which was scheduled for Thursday at Stanbic Bank Piazza. The organisers of the event announced on their Facebook page hours before the event that the Gerara Here comedian could not make it.

The organisers however did not give much detail as to why Odega could not make it. The Facebook post read: “Public Announcement - Laugh out Loud Entertainment would like to announce that the Gerara Here Comedy Spectacle that was to be held tonight, the 30th June 2016 at the Stanbic Bank Piazza, has regrettably been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

Laugh out Loud Entertainment together with Odega sincerely apologise to the public that has been so supportive as well as the stakeholders and sponsorship partners involved.  New dates for the show will be announced in this very same page.” Tlotlo Letsomo from 6Pac Promotions explained that they had no choice but to cancel the show, because the main act, Odega, was stuck in Kenya due to Visa issues. He said the show would take place this month.
