China, Botswana cultural exchange valuable

Cultural exchanges between China and Botswana have played a big role in strengthening the two countries’ bilateral relations. The Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Thapelo Olopeng said at the 40th anniversary of the Botswana-China relations.

“Botswana places great importance on the relationship as China continues to assist our country in different areas. Botswana also continues to enjoy interest free loans and more other types of assistance,” he said.

He cited the Botswana National Youth Centre offices as one of the examples of benefits of the relationship between China and Botswana. Olopeng further said the cultural exchange programs afforded both countries a chance to reflect on their various partnerships and work towards strengthening them.
