Township Rollers on Saturday night held a beauty pageant for their supporters at Bon Femme Gardens under the theme ‘to teach and to empower a girl child in football to be a better woman’. The event was last held 13 years ago.

Following a round of showcasing their talent and cultural backgrounds, Mosa Balesamang eventually walked away with the crown while Utlwanang Matibini representing Thamaga Branch and Boikhutso Gakeonyatse (Gantsi Branch) were named the first and second Princesses respectively.

In an interview, one coordinator of the pageantry, Nayang Masinta said their main mandate was to empower every member of the Township Rollers Football Club given that a requirement for being able to sign up for the pageantry was that each has to carry a Popa membership card.
