A United Kingdom receives prestigious British nod

Although the movie will only be on circuit in December, the much-anticipated A United Kingdom, shot and directed in the country, is already receiving nominations at some of the biggest film awards.

Dubbed the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA), nominees were released this week and South Africa’s Terry Pheto has been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress for the year 2016.

In the film, Pheto plays Naledi Khama, Seretse’s sister.
