A fresh start for Fresh

The artist who broke into the scene as a Rhumba hotshot a decade ago, Phemelo ‘Fresh’ Lesokwane, returns to music with a fresh start. Fresh has ditched twerking to venture into jazz music, and has formed a band called Rhythm Mates.

Although he demonstrated artistic promise as a performer Fresh’s career seemed overshadowed by his cousin’s, Frank ’Franco’ Lesokwane.

Since diverting to jazz, Fresh now feels a lot at home and insists he was destined to be a jazz musician.
