Onkemetse can remember her mother saving all her money to buy bricks to build her house. She built it room by room as she could afford it, and now she has a home that is spacious enough for Onkemetse, and family to visit. Her mum does not owe any money on her home, so she knows her future is safe and secure. She is also very happy because she knows she will be able to leave her children an asset when she passes.

Onkemetse wants to buy her house today, but she does not have the same patience that her mother had, and doesn’t have the land where she wants to live. She can’t save and build step by step. Should Onkemetse apply for a mortgage loan?
