Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has postponed its highly anticipated primary elections dubbed Bulela Ditswe, which were supposed to be held on August 11, 2018.

In a press statement issued late evening on Monday the party secretary Mpho Balopi said, “The postponement was necessitated by the discovery of a compromise to the integrity of the voters roll of the Botswana Democratic Party in the form of a hacking of the roll Specific to the 38 BDP held Constituencies which were the subject of the up coming Bulela Ditswe". 

Balopi also said the party Central Committee will hold a meeting to brief various structures at the Palapye International Convention Centre (PICC) on August 11, 2018.
