Saleshando responds to UDC WhatsApp leak

Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) vice president Dumelang Saleshando has denied that he is a criminal.

This was after another UDC vice president Sidney Pilane said Saleshando will face much worse crime than theft.

The two had a heated exchange last night in the UDC National Executive Committee (NEC) WhatsApp group. The heated exchange of the two leaders was yesterday leaked and shared widely on social media.

It started with Saleshando saying: “Now I understand why Batswana in their quiet way mistrust you and regard you a criminal”.

Pilane did not take it lying down and responded in kind.

“As for who Batswana consider a criminal,

you will be surprised to know,” Pilane said before adding that: “It won’t be long before o sekela much worse than bogodu. What is worse, you will be convicted and go to prison”.

In a brief interview this morning Saleshando said Pilane was the right person to explain his allegation to the nation. “Go and ask Pilane. He is the one who made that allegation.”

Sources from inside the WhatsApp group said “Pilane left the group” on Monday night after the venomous exchange with Saleshando.
