FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana People’s Party (BPP) has made assurances that it will effectively start taking part in major activities of the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC).

BPP secretary general, Venter Galetshabiwe made such assurances after he addressed a UDC rally in Francistown. It was the first time in more than a year that a BPP member linked to a faction led by its president Motlatsi Molapise made a public appearance at a UDC activity.

It has often been speculated that Molapise is trying to influence BPP members to join the Alliance for Progressives.
