FRANCISTOWN: A single step can secure the future of many generations to come. These are the words of veteran South African geologist, Manfred Marx. He discovered the diamondiferous kimberlite pipe, which would later become the Orapa Diamond Mine. Then, 50 years ago, he was in the company of 12 other Botswana budding geologists. The seminar was also held to mark 50-years celebrations marking the discovery of diamonds in Orapa.
