Ferry your own rubbish - GCC

The Gaborone City Council (GCC) has actually failed to collect rubbish since December last year, it has been revealed.

And because city authorities cannot say when they will be in a position to clean up, citizens of the capital city are expected to do their dirty job by ferrying their own rubbish to the city's landfill at Gamodubu.

Pressed for answers, the city's Public Relations Officer, Seeletso Lekgaba, said the municipality was fully aware it had "always performed unsatisfactorily" since its contracts with private garbage collectors expired on December 31.
