Mmegi: Recently there have been newspaper reports that you have been approached by some BDP members to consider standing for the position of party chairman, is it true?
PB: First and foremost I must state my usual reluctance to discuss my Party issues through the Media. I do not want to offend my Party procedures as laid down in our Party Constitution.However, and be that as it may, it is indeed true that some fellow democrats consisting of Dr Batlang Serema, Dr Alfred Tsheboeng, Isaac Seloko and Ogaketse Puma Mathware approached me to consider if I would make myself available for the position of chairman of the Party this year. I viewed their request as very legitimate and they were within their right to do so if only in the interest and greater good of the Party.
