The BDP and Botswana's 'false de-colonisation' - Part II

The 1963 Lobatse Constitutional Conference was attended by a total of 19 delegates - three delegates each from political parties.

The BDP was represented by S. Khama, K. Masire and M. Ngwako; Motsete's BPP by K.T. Motsete, P.G. Matante and T. Motlhagodi; and Mpho's BPP by M. Mpho, B. Macheng and T. Tlale. There were three chiefs - Bathoen II (of Bangwaketse), Mokgosi III (of Balete) and Linchwe II (of Bakgatla). 

There was a total of six whites - three representatives from the European Legislative Council P. Fawcus, J.C. Morgan, J.G. Haskins, C.J. Mynhardt; two official advisers J.A. Douglas and A. Tilbury and one Asian A.C. Chand.
