The battle is informed by something; seldom do grownups fight over nothing. If government refused the Leader of Opposition the right to address meetings at the Kgotla it cannot be for the sheer fun of it; and if Saleshando so badly wanted to do it cannot be for the sheer fun of it either. Then you have a good number of BNF supporters, leaders even, also denouncing Saleshando's request to use the Kgotla. Why really is there such a war? The answer is in one much maligned word: POLITICS.

The decision by Saleshando to hold kgotla meetings was a masterstroke.
