Harness technology to mitigate against climate change

We, therefore, hope that you will go away from this workshop with enhanced appreciation of the problems associated with greenhouse gas emissions, information on the opportunities for carbon market finance, and successful contacts for long lasting partnerships between your organisations and Botswana.

The theme for this workshop is current and real. I had the opportunity to attend the recent UN Climate Change Summit  convened by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the September 22 this year in New York. The Secretary-General has taken a leadership role in helping to spur and shape the global response to climate change.
