ANC's two thirds majority and the land issue

Interesting times are ahead for South Africa. The overwhelming election victory by Jacob Zuma and the ANC over its rivals is a tell-tale sign that the people of South Africa still believe in the promises and credibility of the ANC and President Zuma.

Though a lot of political analysts and the like tend to focus on surface issues like: the lack of a formidable opposition to the ANC; Zuma's supposed incompetence; the rape and fraud issues; and South Africa becoming a de facto one party state, the real issues are being sidestepped for fear of 'insulting' certain sections of the South African population.

The real issues on the ground are: education and access to it; health care; crime; unemployment; and the dreaded land acquisition from those who benefited from over 300 years of apartheid land policies.
