Two Gantsi farm hands, Tshiamo Kgalalelo and Mmika Mpe, are already on death row for the brutal murder and burning of their boss in 2014. At the Court of Appeal, the pair is hoping their story of poverty, desperation will be enough to escape the noose. They will find out next month. Staff Writers, MBONGENI MGUNI and MPHO MOKWAPE report.

Tensions have been high throughout the case. The case cost a magistrate his job. Conditions of farm workers and the relations between workers and their employers have been raised.
