Zebras' loss should not be a sign of things to come

Finally the Zebras have lost their stripes in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2012. But for those in the know, the 1-0 loss to Togo in Lome is no big deal.

The boys had already done the job and the two matches that remained after they topped Group K were dead rubber.

Botswana could have fielded an Under-15 side in the two matches just to honour the fixtures that were basically of academic interest to the Zebras.  However, we hope that the setback in Lome is not a sign of things to come.  We hope that the loss was just a minor stumble in an impressive run that should stretch up to the Africa Cup of Nations proper in Gabon and Equatorial.
