These Women Are Cry Babies

Critics are at it again. They are complaining about a cartoon we ran last month depictinging a bull that was castrated at a Botswana National Front (BNF) congress in Molepolole. We have been following the debate with great interest.

Some women organisations are complaining that the cartoon has the potential to discourage them from contesting for positions in society.  This is absurd to say the least. Are these women telling the world that they (women) should just ascend to power without being taken to task?

Dr Kathleen Letshabo who the women are defending used the very same press to attack Botswana National Front (BNF) leader Otsweletse Moupo who at that time was her boss. All this time when the Press and Letshabo herself chastised Moupo, these 'women' were silent and read the articles cheerfully.  Now, when the same press continues with their duty and mandate, some women take offence.  If Mma Letshabo was caught in the controversies that Moupo have been mired in, was she going to quit or the same women were going to shout on top of roof-tops like they are now?
