Stop This Police Brutality

Recently, a visit to Broadhurst Police Station revealed what could be a daily occurrence at many other police stations.

It appeared that on their routine patrols the officers had apprehended a Zimbabwean man. According to this man, upon his arrest the police beat him up for no apparent reason. You could see an element of truth in what he was saying.

But as it has become tradition, the officers were quick to brush him aside and a senior police officer without even trying to listen to the poor fellow, ordered that he be locked up in cells. The question that arises is why the brutality? Is this how our police are being trained? Why do senior officers seem to be condoning such unbecoming acts by their juniors?
