Pick Up The Pieces And Move Forward

The Young Zebras' trip to Conakry, Guinea, was ill fated right from the outset. The Dream Team missed their flight on Tuesday in Johannesburg because the players had not been paid their allowances.

By the time the team left, the morale in the squad was at its lowest ebb and it was up to the technical team to do all they could to cheer the players up and make them focus on the job at hand.

As if that were not enough for the lads, the experience they encountered in Conakry is a nightmare they will want to forget as soon as possible. It is a well-known fact that travelling to various parts of Africa is no child's play. Some countries have made it a habit that they make the environment hostile for their visitors. The Young Zebras got it in Guinea.
