Let's obey road rules

generally, the police are happy that the just ended festive season was quiet 'without serious disturbing incidents'.

What is worrying though is that people continue to lose lives on our roads.  One death is one too many and here we are talking about 35 lives lost.  The police and other stakeholders such as the Department of Roads and Safety and Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA) are working hard to make drivers and users of the road to be vigilant and obey road rules.

Though over the years there seem to have been a change of attitude among road users, more still needs to be done.  People are still dying on the roads and other drivers continue to violate the law by driving while under the influence of alcohol while others drive without drivers' licences and others still overspeed on the roads.
