Let's all watch out for Measles

The announcement made by the Ministry of health that they are finding it difficult to deal with the Measles outbreak that was reported of about three months ago comes as a major setback in the country's fight to totally rid Botswana of measles. This outbreak was reported in the latter half of 2009.

We had all hoped that the Ministry of Health would by now have succeeded in bringing the disease under control.

A lot of time and effort has already gone into the Measles campaign. There have been massive media campaigns and community outreach programmes to sensitise members of the public on the symptoms and indeed dangers of Measles.
