Khama should address conflicts responsibly

Elsewhere in the publication, former Botswana president Ian Khama’s recent conflicts with his successor, President Mokgweetsi Masisi, have sparked concerns about their impact on at least 18 local community trusts.

While political disagreements are inevitable, such disputes mustn’t overshadow the welfare of the people. Khama’s legacy as a leader who championed community development should guide his approach in resolving these disputes.

His tenure as president was marked by initiatives aimed at uplifting the marginalised communities across Botswana.
