Fighting stock theft should be collective effort

The rearing of livestock has and will always be an integral part of the life of a Motswana and major contributor to the rural economies. As such, every household keeps cattle, goats or sheep whether in a subsistence form at a cattlepost, lands or commercially in a ranch.

Within this form of farming come challenges such as drought, diseases and stock theft amongst others.

From these difficulties, stock theft is becoming a bane to pastoralists either those who rear cattle or small stock.
