Credit to Botswana tourism

Lately there has been some pronounced visibility of Botswana Tourism on various local fun events, a development that is more than welcome indeed.

Events such as Spin City, where drivers burn tyres treating multitudes to car riding skills, are some of the interesting events where Botswana Tourism has lent a hand.

Recently the Botswana Tourism sponsored a horse race in Bobonong, a cycling race in Gaborone, and they have also been recently running advertisements calling for interested riders to participate in a quad bikes event in the Kgalagadi sand dunes, and effort that is highly welcomed. It is indeed high time that our Tourism organisation ups the ante in as far as marketing and promotion of local tourism activities and places is concerned. Is it not interesting seeing how often South African Tourism attracts Botswana journalists, even taking them to expensive destinations, just so that they can see and write about their experiences of those South African destinations, yet there is little being done this side to aggressively engage the media to profile tens of Botswana's wonderful destinations!
