Wanzy gains ground in delivery market

Locally developed delivery app Wanzy has gained ground in the Greater Gaborone market, completing more than 7,000 orders and attracting over 3,000 customers in its first year of commercial operations.

The app has also successfully onboarded over 41 establishments into the app in a bid to enhance customer convenience.

Wanzy, which began commercial operations in May 2025, has attracted more than 3,000 active customers, according to figures released at its official launch by the Botswana Digital and Innovation Hub (BDIH) this week. Repeat customers account for 72% of orders, a sign that users are returning after their first purchase.
