Toyota maintains consumer popularity

Toyota has continued to maintain consumer popularity in the country despite a drop in the number of cars registered for the first time in the first quarter of 2017.

According to the recent registration figures aggregated by Statistics Botswana (SB), Toyota contributed 42.7% of the total 10,876 vehicles registered for the first time during the quarter under review.

Of the total 4,640 Toyotas registered for the first time, 3,671 were passenger cars, while vans, trucks, minibuses, motorcycles, and others accounted for 395, 248, 318, three, and five respectively.
