TNMC gets laboratory accreditation

Tati Nickel's Phoenix Analytical Laboratory has been officially accredited by the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) as being compliant with the requirements of ISO 17025 standards becoming the first mining company laboratory to receive such endorsement in Botswana.

Accreditation is formal recognition of competence, in this instance for the analysis of nickel, copper, platinum, gold, palladium using various analytical methods.

The Tati Nickel Mining Company (TNMC) laboratory joins a family of laboratories worldwide whose performance has been proven to be acceptable through compliance to an international standard in this case ISO 17025 for quality management. The journey towards achieving this accreditation has been long and demanding, having started in 2006, the company said in a statement.
